BrandGOV is looking for a part-time Workforce Development Coordinator to
support a new organizational initiative focusing on increasing the workforce
viability of historically underrepresented community members in Solano
County. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to empower
individuals looking to reenter the job market after experiencing some of life’s harshest challenges. We are looking
for someone who is trustworthy, empathetic, and ready to roll up their sleeves to provide this essential service.
The right candidate has strong organizational skills, document management skills in Google Drive, project
tracking skills through Asana, and can build this role independently. This role will report directly to the Senior
Program Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Coordinate day-to-day operations of the program.
● Develop strong and trusted relationships with at-risk and underrepresented clients from hard-to-reach
areas of the community. Our clients are looking to receive job re-entry skills after experiencing challenges
including incarceration, homelessness, in-patient treatment, and/or domestic abuse.
● Establish and maintain strong relationships with community members, second-chance employers, and
stakeholders via email, phone, and in-person.
● Assist in the development and implementation of work-readiness programs, presentations, workshops,
and events.
● Provide education on job searching, resume writing, and interviewing skills.
● Coordinate and conduct mock interviews and provide constructive feedback.
● Create, update, and share a curated list of job leads and referrals on a regular basis.
● Coordinate with the marketing manager on social media and communication efforts in order to engage
with targeted community members.
● Coordinate meetings and focus groups with the community and stakeholders in support of the initiative’s
goals.
● Work with cross-functional teams to ensure program objectives are met on-time and within budget.
● Attend regular meetings with the program manager and stakeholders to report on updates and progress.
● Oversee special projects as needed.
Your Experience & Skills
● High school diploma or Associates Degree.
● 1 - 3 years of workforce development or related experience.
● Strong administrative, strategic, analytical, organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
● Self-starter with strong interpersonal and time management skills.
● Familiarity with organizational team tools such as Google Suite and Asana.
● Ability to properly document concurrent programs while remaining detail oriented.
● Proactive, resourceful and self-driven.
● Willing to accept and embrace change in a fast-paced environment working for a great organization with
low employee turnover.
