Description

Join us on December 10 to learn about sustainable landscape design and help install a drought, fire and flood-resistant garden based on permaculture principles in Suisun City! This is a neighborhood expansion, there will now be two gardens on this block!

This public, hands-on installation workshop series will create an environmentally resilient garden in Suisun City providing an opportunity to learn about rainwater capture, water-efficient drip irrigation and how to plant and mulch for a water-wise, sustainable garden that builds healthy soil.

This garden is being installed as a response to the home and yard entirely burning in a 2020 fire. In fact, the large maple tree in the front was the only thing that survived. We hope that this project will serve as an example of how we, as a community, can respond to environmental hazards and lift each other up.
